Combine the eggs, butter and apple butter. Sift the flour and bake soda. Add the walnuts and raisins to the flour mixture and blend. Add the flour mixture to the egg mixture alternately with the Fruit Sweet. Pour the batter into a greased tube pan and bake at 375 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes. Turn out and cool before serving. Serve with whipped cream....something else... It's easy to eat cheap but eating cheap and well takes a bit more effort. I make a lot of things from scratch. Most don't take all that much effort but they do take time so I tend to pick a day and devote it to making food and doing other things around the house. Legumes & rice probably can't be repeated enough. There is a huge variety there as well (think lentils, peas, garbanzo beans). You can get all kinds dirt cheap if you buy them dried in bulk. Soaking overnight is sometimes hard to remember so you might want to invest in a pressure cooker if you plan on eating dried beans all the time.
